A Dancing Body
Dance is for me the tool to exist in and explore the world. Dance is joy and enjoyment but it is also a clear and rough necessity. It is the tool to process everything I experience and see, it is life in a form of movement. It is a way to connect deeply with the body and moment and also one of the paths to the hidden world of sensations, sanctity, subconscious and poetry.
For me existence is never something considered self-evident but something which is under constant processing, constant elaboration. Dance is for me the way to do this work, to give a form to those processes and especially to give a form to those things and emotions that I do not even have a name for. For some other person it might be some other art form or technique, for me it is dance.
Dance and movement are also the tools to connect and land deep in the body, to become one with the body and with the moment. This is also my aim when guiding a class, to make the participants to be aware and in unity with their bodies. This is also possible when the magic of the performance happens and one feels like going beyond the body when communicating with the audience.
My most final aim is to dismantle the at the moment existing state of collective dissociation. My tool for this is dance. And yes, I have to admit that I do not have a super detailed step by step plan for this yet but I am sure the plan will become more explicit through the process.
